Q. Do you install alarm systems?
A. No. However, we have a nationwide dealer network of companies who can professionally install alarm systems that are compatible with our alarm montoring service.
Q. Will the Linksys device contenu to work if there is a loss of power?
A. For IP-only models like the PAP2, you will be responsible for providing some form of backup power supply in order for it to work during power failure. The SPA-3102 has a backup port which will automatically be used if the device loses power. The backup port requires either a PSTN (POTS) landline or a cellular device with dialer capture facility connected to it.
Q. Does your service support my alarm panel?
A. If your alarm panel is currently connected to an Alarm Monitoring Center, then the likelyhood is that it will also work with our service. We recommend the use of the Contact ID protocol, however, we are able to support any other standard alarm format.
Q. How do I sign up for your service? I can't find a way to subscribe on your web site

Q. Is your service transferrable to another location should we move our business or residences?
A. Yes.
Q. Do i need a telephone line or voip service?
A. No voice service is required. All you need is a cable or DSL broadband Internet connection.
Q. Do i need an alarm permit?
A. The requirement for alarm permits and licenses differs from state to state. Please contact your local police department to find out for sure.
Q. Do you charge me for false alarms?
A. No. We provide you with a service and will continue to do so regardless of how many alarms (genuine or false) your system generates. There may be a charge for false alarms from your police department.
Q. My alarm panel is on the opposite side of the house to my router. Is there any way to connect to it wirelessly?
A. Yes - provided you have a wireless router. The Linksys WBP54G wireless-G bridge is an ideal device for this purpose as it shares the same power supply as your Linksys adapter.
